Where to next?

Destination: Italy

Hotel Grotta Palazzese - Polignano, Italy
Hotel Grotta Palazzese introduced two restaurants: the new room high above the sea with large windows, like on a ship, which is open all year round and the magnificent Sea Cave (pictured below) open summer from May to October.

This hotel, one of the top hotels in the world for its location, is situated on the cliffs of Polignano, 18.6 miles from Bari. Polignano a Mare is a delightful medieval town with narrow streets and white houses built on sheer cliffs with natural caves. Grotta Palazzese offers tastefully decorated rooms with modern comforts and some rooms enjoy romantic views of the sea from their private balconies.

Gaiola Bridge - Gaiola Island, Naples
Gaiola Island is located in the Gulf of Naples in the heart of Gaiola Underwater Park, a protected region of about 42 hectares. The island consists of two stunning and serene islets. Located on the southern border of Posillipo and very near to the coastline (about 30 meters away) the island is easy to reach. While one of the islets has a solitary villa, the other is uninhabited. A small bridge connects the two islets, which are separated by just a few meters. Originally, the small island was known as Euplea, protector of safe navigation, and was the site of a small temple dedicated to Venus. There are also several other ruins from the time of the Romans. Below the islets in the water are several Roman structures that are now the home of marine creatures. Today the villa is uninhabited and abandoned.
