I'm not so much into preaching. I'm more into practicing. I constantly strive to maintain a healthy lifestyle. No, it's not just to look good in a bikini. I do it because it's fun!

I know what you're thinking... how can diet & exercise be fun? Well here's the thing, just because we're getting older doesn't mean we have to trade in our jungle gyms for gym memberships. It also doesn't mean we have to sacrifice scrumptious food for bland diets. It's about balance.

Evan & I couldn't quite stay into the swing of things at the gym. It's overly crowded & the stationary equipment becomes too routine. So we tossed the pricey $49.99/month membership & took on the great outdoors.

The world's a giant playground. Nature's gym's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, $0 monthly membership! We spend a lot of time outdoors & it truly has become our happy place. From land to sea, there's so much to explore. We switch off between hiking, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, free diving, kayaking, & even simply wandering around town. You'd be amazed at what sites you'll see & things you'll encounter. It's truly about the journey, not the destination. Committing to a lifestyle full of constant movement (so you can have that yummy pizza & eat it too!). My favorite's water based activities. The amount of energy you exert in the water's shocking. Plus you never have to break a sweat (you won't notice it, at least). The ocean's full of life. Exploring underwater caves, rock running, finding seashells, or watching fish. It truly breaks free from the mundane.

But when you exert that much energy on top of the drying effects of salt water, it's important to stay hydrated. As much as I love water, I have a hard time drinking an adequate amount. I NEED flavor. So my weapon of choice is ice cold Waiola Coconut Water. While water's nature's purest liquid, the nectar produced by the coconut palms that line tropical beaches comes a close second. However, when it comes to taste, it's no contest. It's a delicious elixir that's a healthy alternative to just water. It tastes more like a refreshing treat. As an added bonus, coconut water has as much potassium as a banana which helps you ward off those annoyingly painful exercise-induced muscle cramps. I stick with Waiola specifically because it's one of the lowest in grams of sugar & the highest amount of potassium of any of the coconut waters I've seen on the market. That means I get the most benefits without having to stuff myself. So after you're done working your body into shape, treat it to a tropical getaway.
